QURANIC INITIALS AND THE MIRACLE BASED ON NUMBER 19 AN INTRODUCTION

There are in all 29 chapters (Suras) in the Quran that are prefixed with Muqatta'at (initials) and they are mathematically composed throughout the Quran based on the number 19. Quran refers this Miracle as One of the Great Miracles [74:35].

In support of the Miracle in the Quran, following is the copy of all the discussions happening on the Wikipedia pages for the article.

Mathematical Structure based on 19 [74:30] within Initialed Suras (Chapters with Muqatta'at)

In 1974, an Egyptian biochemist named Rashad Khalifa claimed to have discovered a mathematical code in the Qur'an based on these initials and the number 19,<ref>Rashad Khalifa, Quran: Visual Presentation of the Miracle, Islamic Productions International, 1982. ISBN 0-934894-30-2</ref> which is mentioned in Sura 74:30<ref>Template:Cite quran</ref> of the Qur'an. According to his claims, these initials, which prefix 29 chapters of the Qur'an, occur throughout their respective chapters in multiples of nineteen. He has noted other mathematical phenomena throughout the Qur'an, all related to what he describes as the "mathematical miracle of the Qur'an." Some of his findings relating to Sura (Chapters) with initials (Muqatta'ats) are:

1. Between the first initialed sura (Sura 2) and the last initialed sura (Sura 68) there are 38 = 19 x 2 un-initialed suras<ref>Quran the final Testament, Translated from the Original, by Rashad Khalifa, ISBN 978-1-890825-00-3, Library of Congress: 2007938221, Simple Facts</ref>.

2. Between the first and last initialed sura there are 19 sets of alternating “initialed” and “uninitialed” suras<ref>Quran the final Testament, Translated from the Original, by Rashad Khalifa, ISBN 978-1-890825-00-3, Library of Congress: 2007938221, Simple Facts</ref>.

The Proposal: Quranic Initials and the Structure based on number 19

Peace be upon you all,

God Willing I intend adding following within the "Modern Research" section, further substantiating the understanding on Muqatta'at as presented by Dr. Rashad Khalifa.

1. The total of the 29 sura numbers where the Quranic Initials occur is 2+3+7+...+50+68 = 822, and 822+14 (14 sets of initials) equals 836, or 19 x 44.

2. 14 different Arabic letters, form 14 different sets of "Quranic Initials" (such as A.L.M. of 2:1), and prefix 29 suras. These numbers add up to 14+14+29 = 57= 19 x 3.

3. Between the first initialed sura (Sura 2) and the last initialed sura (Sura 68) there are 38 un-initialed suras 19 x 2.

4. Between the first and last initialed sura there are 19 sets of alternating “initialed” and “uninitialed” suras.

Let me know if there are any concerns, else will include these in another 36 hours time God Willing.

An Editor of Wikipedia appreciating the Mathematical Miracle within the Quranic initialed Suras

> DukhanSmoke ... Yes, there are indeed some interesting and quite impressive examples, in particular -

Sura "Al-Qalam" (no. 68) [carrying the Qur'anic initial "Noon", which occurs exactly 133 (=19 x 7) times in that sura], and Sura "Al-Shoora" (no. 42) [carrying the Qur'anic initial "Qaf", which occurs exactly 57 (=19 x 3) times in that sura].
